Matteo Guidicelli's latest Ironman race is his “best finish ever”

“Not my best race but definitely my BEST finish ever.”

Ganito inilarawan ni Matteo Guidicelli ang naging performance niya sa ginanap na Cobra Ironman 70.3 triathlon race sa Cebu noong Linggo, August 2.

Sa kanyang Instagram account, sinabi ni Matteo: “I was psychically unprepared but I had to be MENTALLY ready to finish the race. Not my best race but definitely my BEST finish ever.”

Bagamat hindi binanggit ni Matteo sa caption ang girlfriend na si Sarah Geronimo, hindi naman maiwasan ng followers niya na iugnay ang The Voice coach sa kanyang naging pahayag.

Matatandaang pinag-usapan noong Linggo, August 2, ang ginawang pagsalubong ni Sarah kay Matteo sa finish line ng triathlon race.

Sa mga larawan at video na kumalat sa social media, makikitang tumakbo pa si Sarah para yakapin si Matteo.

Si Sarah rin ang nagsabit ng finisher medal kay Matteo.

“Sobrang hirap [ng race] dahil wala akong ensayo but it’s worth it. Gusto ko pa.

"[Si Sarah] yung pinaka-best sa lahat. Nagulat ako [na tumakbo siya papunta sa akin],” sabi ni Matteo sa panayam sa kanya ng ABS-CBN Sports reporter na si Dyan Castillejo.
