Pahayag ni Gordon sa kanyang panayam sa ANC Headstart ngayong Lunes, October 20, “I was approached by members of UNA, some members of the Liberal Party, some of my schoolmates in UP, some of my friends…
“In fairness to them, there is a case but leave it be. It can be decided by the Supreme Court either way.
“It can decide vox populi suprema lex—the people have spoken and therefore that is the fundamental law.”
LIBERAL PARTY CAMP REACTS TO GORDON'S ALLEGATION.
“Both the President [Benigno 'Noynoy' Aquino III] and former [Department of Interior and Local Government] Secretary Mar Roxas have given the Liberal Party clear marching instructions on how the campaign should be waged.
“We have always campaigned on Daang Matuwid and that we are focused on issues and our platform, not on personalities.
“That is how we practically swept the 2013 senatorial elections, by entirely avoiding a personality-based campaign.
“LP has not and will not authorize any person from engaging in a smear campaign,” paliwanag ni Representative Quimbo, base sa kanyang official statement na makikita sa Liberal Party Twitter account.
SENATOR CHIZ'S STATEMENT VS LIBERAL PARTY, UNA.
“It's getting harder and harder to give the leaders of LP and UNA the benefit of the doubt given the revelations of Sen. Gordon.
“When your leaders say one thing and do another, it does not speak well of their character nor of their capacity to lead the nation.
“Our people expect honesty, not doublespeak; integrity not deceit.”
"C.S. Lewis said that integrity is doing the right thing even when no one is watching. Hindi yung subukan natin, baka makalusot.
“If Mar believes that Grace is Filipino, he should explicitly tell LP members and supporters to stop making an issue of it. The same holds true for VP Binay, who also invited Grace to be his VP.
“Perhaps they were hoping that Sen. Gordon could give credence to the false charges against Sen Poe, being an accomplished public servant.
“We maintain our call for all candidates to keep the campaign clean, platform-based and on a professional level.”
DISQUALIFICATION PLEAS VS. SENATOR POE.
