Senator Grace Poe, together with her running mate Senator Francis "Chiz" Escudero, formally announced their senatorial slate for the 2016 elections.
Held at the Club Filipino in San Juan City today, October 29, Senator Grace Poe’s list of senatorial bets are Senator Tito Sotto, Atty. Lorna Kapunan, former senator Richard "Dick" Gordon, Susan “Toots” Ople, Miguel Zubiri, and Valenzuela Mayor Rex Gatchalian.
Dubbed as “Team Galing at Puso,” the ticket also includes TV host-actor Edu Manzano, Manila Vice Mayor Isko Moreno, Neri Colmenares, Pasig City Representative Roman Romulo, ACT-CIS party list Representative Samuel Pagdilao, and Senator Ralph Recto.
Although Senator Recto didn't make it to the event, his son Ryan Christian attended as his representative.
In her speech, Senator Grace said she welcomed some guest candidates under her ticket because they share her and Senator Chiz’s desire to campaign for good governance.
She explained, “Hindi po tayo nagdidikta na ito ang dapat mong gawin.
“Ang idinidikta lang namin ay ikaw ay maging tapat at ikaw ay manilbihan sa ating bayan…
“Ang puhunan natin ay galing at puso.”
CELEBRITY GUESTS. The star-studded assembly was graced by Edu’s eldest son Luis Manzano, who also expressed his support for his stepdad Senator Recto.

Senator Tito’s children Ciara, Gian, and Quezon City Councilor Diorella “Lala” Sotto also showed their full support to the Eat Bulaga! host’s candidacy for 2016 elections.
