Iñigo Pascual defends Julia Barretto against negative issues

Inñigo Pascual on Julia Barretto: "Na-misinterpret siya as mataray or whatever 'coz she came from that type of family na they speak English. They’re actually kind, really down to earth people. It’s just the way they are."

Pahayag ni Iñigo tungkol kay Julia, “I’m just being a friend to her.

"That’s really the best way to show a friend that you care; by being there for them.

“Even a call would help and I guess just a small gesture, like posting an appreciation, like what I did.

“Even a small gesture can affect someone. It would make them feel more appreciated and feel better.”

MISINTERPRETED.

Julia is one of the kindest [people].

“Na-misinterpret siya as mataray or whatever 'coz she came from that type of family na they speak English.

“They’re actually kind, really down to earth people.

"It’s just the way they are."

Patuloy ni Iñigo, “Just because people speak English doesn’t mean they’re mataray or snob.

"I speak English and mahirap i-express ang feelings namin in Tagalog.

“I have a hard time even if I want to speak Tagalog. It’s just I express it even better in English.

“That’s the thing that people tend to do, they stereotype.

“Mahirap magsalita sa trabaho namin. It’s really like that, so we just have to accept that.”

“She’s my friend.

“Kahit naman sabihin natin na hindi kami naaapektuhan, we still want to be there for them.

“Even I get hurt sometimes when I get mean comments or negative stuff.

“I guess, just being there for the person helps.”

Tugon niya, “In this job naman, I don’t think we should let personal stuff [get] affected.

"To be honest, I don’t know what’s going on with her personal life and vice versa.

“And it’s not my business if there’s anything going on. We just work.

“Kung anuman ang ibigay sa amin, we have that friendship, parang we work together and we know what we want.”

“Just because you’re someone’s best friend, you can’t put them on blast and comment about their own problems.

"It shouldn’t be that way.

"Any person, if it’s someone else’s problem or issues, it shouldn’t be another person talking about it.

“To be honest, being her friend, I just don’t want negative stuff going on, but it’s how it is in this industry.”
