AlDub special report on BBC News finally aired; BBC makes an estimate on how much AlDub earn from endorsement deals

Filipino BBC correspondent Rico Hizon interviews Maine Mendoza and Alden Richards for a special feature which was aired today, December 8. According to Hizon, "Their rise has been meteoric and unexpected to industry watchers."

Pahayag ni Rico sa kanyang special report, na lumabas din sa bbc.com: "By international standards, the sum total of their endorsements is paltry. No one would confirm how much they're earning from these deals but it's estimated to be little more than $200,000 (£132,600).

"But their rise has been meteoric and unexpected to industry watchers."

Sabi ni Rico sa kanyang report: "Since being featured in the show, the previously unknown couple have pulled in an average of 8.6 million viewers every day - a record rating for a Philippine lunchtime television show."
