Miss Universe judge Perez Hilton: "Miss Philippines came to win, Miss Colombia came to lose."

Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach with the judges: (L-R) Perez Hilton, Niecy Nash, Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo, and NFL star Emmitt Smith.

“It’s important to know Miss Philippines won fair and square. All of the judges thought so. She deserves to win. It’s not just a physical beauty contest.”

ROOTING FOR MISS COLOMBIA.

“You have instantly your favorites in mind for variety of reasons.

"They explain to you it is a beauty pageant. You really are looking for a beautiful girl.

“But it’s not just beauty, I think that’s really important to clarify.”

“Miss Colombia was the most beautiful contestant, but I don’t think she deserves to win the title, and she didn’t win the title for variety of reasons,” sabi ng gossip blogger.

“Here’s the difference between Miss Philippines and Miss Colombia: Miss Philippines came to win, Miss Colombia came to lose.

“Colombia came there as if she already won and that’s sexy also and intoxicating to have that confidence.

"But I think she truly believed she was going to win.

“Whereas Miss Philippines came with something to prove.

“I kept everything in mind, but I was also truly judging each category for what it was.”

“Before they switched to swimsuit, I didn’t think Philippines would rock the swimsuit competition.”

“I judge each portion for what it was and a girl could sometimes perform and really surprise.

“I wasn’t expecting much of Miss Philippines from her swimsuit portion.

"I already had in mind and thought that she was not gonna be that good and she came out and like, boom!

"Gave me fierceness… and she owned it and like, wow, she is rocking this.

“I ended up scoring her way higher.”

“When it was time for the advocating, 'Why should I be Miss Universe,' that’s when it became certain for me, because at that point, I don’t know if the people at home could see this, but Miss Colombia was being straight out diva-bitch rude to her translator.

“She was giving like the most awful side eye, like throwing major shade because Miss Colombia was not happy with the pace or the way the translator was translating.

“It was a major turn-off.”

UNANIMOUS DECISION. Paglalarawan pa ni Perez kay Miss Colombia sa question-and-answer portion, “It wasn’t just that she didn’t give the best answer and it wasn’t just she came across to not just me, but several of the other judges, bitchy and arrogant—it was that Philippines gave a better answer.

“It was the second time that she gave a great answer, actually a better answer, and by that point, I just felt she really brought her A-game, super competitive, but also almost like she just deserved it. She deserves it.

“To me, [Pia is] a real beauty and grace and elegance. She is Miss Universe.

“She was just being herself and not trying emulate like anybody else, I felt like she really earned it and won it fair and square.”

“I really felt like I had to take everything throughout the whole night into consideration, everything that the pageant told me, what they were looking for, it’s not just a physical beauty contest and I went with my gut and I voted for Miss Philippines.

“And then actually, I found out afterwards it was unanimous.

“Every single judge on that panel, all four of us, voted for Miss Philippines to be number one.”
