Courageous Caitie honored with wedding-inspired memorial service

Courageous Catie's family organized a wedding-inspired memorial service this afternoon, Sunday, April 3, at the Arlington Memorial Chapels in Quezon City. Photo shows the "wedding march" for her to the Crematorium, where she was feted with "a salute by her favorite Storm Troopers, to a courageous little trooper."

Caitlin Soleil Lucas, a.k.a Courageous Caitie, who passed away on March 31 due to a rare type of blood cancer called juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia (JMML), was given a wedding-inspired memorial service by her loving parents today, April 3.

This will serve as a celebration of Catie’s life as her parents will be giving her away “to the ultimate Lover of our souls.”

Going to be parents of the bride today. Thank you christine ong-te events for the wonderful coordination service so far!...

The three-year-old Caitie won the hearts of netizens with her courage and cheery disposition despite battling her rare disease.

The service began at 3 p.m., headed by Pastor Roy Felipe of Christ's Commission Fellowship, at the Arlington Memorial Hall A, Quezon City.

Caitie was also serenaded by the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra, amid inspiring and touching messages from friends and supporters.

Based on Courageous Caitie’s Facebook page, a “wedding march” to the Crematorium followed at 4:00 p.m.

Thank you to Caitie's Chauffeurs - the Storm Troopers. ? This is definitely the wedding of the year. :)

After the cremation, the family hosted a reception program at the Arlington Hall A for their friends and Caitie’s supporters.
