Jasmine Curtis Smith and Eula Caballero seem to be the only ones left among TV5’s princesses.
Alex Gonzaga, Arci Muñoz, and most recently Ritz Azul have all transferred to ABS-CBN.
What is Jasmine’s take about their departure?
“At the end of the day, it's where they find happiness and where they find work.
“I don't want to be the one to judge.
“Ako naman, I'm happy with where I stand. I'm enjoying everything here in TV5.
“I've got a very open mind in terms of diyan sa mga network,” Jasmine told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other reporters during the launch of new contents of Digital 5 Studio yesterday, April 19.
The younger sister of Anne Curtis also stressed, “I don't like to get involved with mga network war.
“I think it's so silly to begin with.
“You only got yourself to compete with, di ba?
“If you wanna be better, don't compete with others, compete with yourself.
“I think that's what we've been doing with TV5.
“That's what we've been striving to achieve, be better than our previous self.
“Para mas lumayo pa ang marating ng mga network.”
STAYING ON. From all indication, Jasmine does not have any plan of leaving TV5.
She said, “My contract will still be until the end of the year. The thing is I am enjoying.
“I don't have to think about anything else because I wanna focus on what's in front of me.
“I wanna give my hundred percent here.
“Parang ano 'yan, e, how can you do your job properly kung nandun ka na sa kabilang thought process?
“Kung saan na ba ako pagkatapos ng kontrata ko?
“Paano ko magagawa nang tama ang work ko, which I should give one hundred percent?
“I'm always vocal about it, when I'm doing something, bigay lahat.
“Hindi pwedeng kalahati lang kasi ang pangit naman ng outcome nun.”
STAR ON THE WEB. Meanwhile, Jasmine is happy about the positive response to her first web series, Forever Sucks, which is shown weekly on Digital 5 Studio channel on YouTube.
The Kapatid actress has observed that with the increasing number of mobile users, the Pinoy audience is slowly adapting to digital entertainment such as her show.
“I guess it's because it's fresh, it's new, and it's short, e.
“The attention span of people is nawawala.
“So, mga five to ten minutes per episode, you can watch it during your lunch break.
“It will take only few [minutes] from your lunch break.
“Na-enjoy ko talaga siya.”
Jasmine added, “It feels great because there's automatic feedback every time we release an episode even if we didn't promote it.
“Parang it's automatic na every midnight going to Saturday, naka-post na 'yan.
“Minsan mayroon na lang magtu-tweet, 'Episode 10 is out.'
“So, parang ako, 'Oh, it's out na, papanoorin ko na.'
“Doon ko lang din nalalaman, kasi I forget sometimes, pero sila naka-notification na.
“It feels awesome kasi alam mong sinusuportahan nila yung iyong pinagpupuyatan.
“Na-enjoy din namin siya, it’s even more rewarding.
“Kasi, other than us enjoying ourselves on the set, having feedback is a whole different feeling of satisfaction.
“Ako, I really love what I'm doing and I'm happy that I'm part of this project because it's awesome.”
Because of this, Jasmine said she would love to do another season of this romantic-mystery web series.
