In a video posted prior to election day, Richard Gomez was seen speaking Bisaya during one of his pre-election sorties.
The actor told the audience: “Magbago na ta. Karon na ang tamang panahon para magbago ta.”
On its caption, the netizen who uploaded the video showed support to the mayoral candidate: “Thank you Sir Richard for being so kind to us, we are praying for your victory this coming election day. WIN OR LOSE WE LOVE YOU.”
Richard won the mayoral election in Ormoc City with 53,234 votes, beating Ondo Codilla and Mar Gallardo.
