Jodi Sta Maria's son doesn't allow her to entertain suitors

Jodi Sta. Maria on her state of mind at the moment: "Alam mo, I really can't ask for anything more. I'm just so grateful with everything that God has blessed me with—Third and my family. So, parang just be grateful na lang."

Jodi Sta. Maria’s son Thirdy admits to being protective about her love life.

The Kapamilya actress was a bit surprised when her 10-year-old son shook his head when asked if it’s okay for his mom to entertain suitors.

Before Thirdy could reveal any juicy details, Jodi quickly explained how her son takes good care of her.

“Hahaha! For example… Talagang ako na sumasagot,” Jodi interjected.

“Protective [si Thirdy] in a sense na, 'Mommy huwag masyado magpuyat, huwag magpapagod.

“'Okay ka lang ba diyan? Okay ka lang ba sa work?'

“So, habang nag-e-age siya, yun.”

Jodi added that Thirdy has grown more protective of her now that he's older.

"Sa age niya ngayon, napapansin ko he's very protective of me. Siguro dahil lalaki po. So, iyon."

PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and two other reporters caught up with Jodi after she and Thirdy were launched as Jollibee’s newest endorsers at Jollibee Ortigas-Roosevelt branch yesterday, May 25.

NO SOMEONE SPECIAL? Jodi, 33, has always been low-key about her relationship with re-electionist Cavite Vice Governor Jolo Revilla, 28.

But lately, there have been speculations whether Jodi and Jolo have secretly parted ways or not.

Jolo had been busy during the campaign period, while Jodi had been spending more time with her son and traveling abroad.

Whatever the state of her heart is, Jodi maintains that Thirdy and her family are the ones that bring happiness in her life right now.

The Kapamilya actress said, “Alam mo, I really can’t ask for anything more.

“I’m just so grateful with everything that God has blessed me with—Third and my family.

“So, parang just be grateful na lang.

“Gratitude is very important knowing that we don’t really deserve anything naman talaga.

“And then God chose to bless us with things that we don’t deserve.”

JUST GOOD VIBES. Even though she is back to work for her an upcoming movie, Jodi never fails to share good vibes through her Instagram feed.

“Yes, because at the end of the day, di ba, life is short.

“Hindi kasi maganda na we throw out negativity to those around us.

“Because at the end of the day, tayo rin naman ang magiging miserable.

“So, it’s always nice to be good and to do good, to honor others above yourself.

“Spread love, positivity, and respect to those around you.”
