If anything, the tragic incidents at the Forever Summer concert have brought to light the severity of the drug problem in the country.
Even more worrisome is the fact that several minors who attended the music fest have tested positive for illegal drugs.
This was confirmed by a doctor from St. Luke's Hospital yesterday, May 27.
Dr. Wency Kiat revealed on Noli de Castro's radio program on dzMM Teleradyo that youngsters ages 12 to15 who were at the concert were brought by their parents to the hospital after showing signs of sleeplessness and absentmindedness.
Dr. Kiat also said the young patients admitted taking drugs during the event.
Dr. Kiat said the tests showed that the patients brought to him tested positive for ecstacy, marijuana, and methamphetamine or commonly called as shabu.
The drugs, according to the minors, cost about P1000 and were told to take only half of the capsule.
Dr. Kiat had advised the parents of the youngsters to monitor their condition, and recommended random drug tests thereafter.
Meanwhile, celebrities are using their social media accounts to remind the youths about the dangers of using illegal drugs.
Here are their posts:

Di cool ang drugs! Kaya tantanan mo. Di yan ikagaganda kundi ikadadali ng buhay mo. At pag nangyari yun di ka cool, cold ka!
