Saad niya, “Just do not fu*k with me.
“Do not put into printed words, you review the tapes of what I said.
“Most of the times, yung mga crusader, yung first class, the number one category, they seldom die because their opinions are respected and they are righteous.
“The second one, you know, the publicist, the mouthpiece of the politicians or almost all of the politicians, medyo ano lang ‘yan...
“But the third one, the vultures of journalism, ‘yan ang maraming namamatay.
“E, kung kayo, e, vulture of journalism, aba, that’s not my problem!”
“Now, if you are mad, I’m telling the networks, do not come here. I do not need you…
“Just tell the people, this is the program of the government and I would ask the Cabinet to avoid you.
“If you want to ask something, go to Rocky Ignacio [reporter of the government-owned network PTV4].
“You, Rocky Ignacio, you come to me because I have something to say.
“Alangan ako pa maghahanap sa ‘yo diyan sa Malacañang.”
Dagdag pa ni Duterte, “As a matter of fact, I’m challenging you, guys, kill journalism, stop journalism in this country.
“If you are worth your sword, you should accept the challenge.
“Kapag hindi, mababa na ang tingin ko sa inyo. Para kayong takot…”
OUT OF CONTEXT. Kabilang sa mga dumalo sa presscon ang GMA News reporter na si Mariz Umali, na nagtanong at ipinaalala kay Duterte ang pahayag nitong ‘kill journalism and stop journalism in this country.’
Sinabi ni Duterte na taken out of context ang kanyang statement.
“No, I was taken out of context.
“There’s no sense when I say kill journalism. You cannot connect the two words.
“Kill journalism here, do not come here anymore because you’re threatening to boycott.
“You kill the journalism here... I cannot stop you. It is in your person.
“You do not want to come here… to boycott me, kill journalism here.
“Because kung ayaw na ninyong pumunta, e, di wala nang journalism.
“Naku naman, how can I kill journalism?
“Ang ibig kong sabihin, if you want, you can kill journalism here because if that is the threat, pu**ng ina, sinabi ko na, ‘Hoy, mga ugok, pu**ng ina.’
“I can lose the presidency, my life, honor… just do not fu*k with me.
“Huwag ninyo akong takutin. Boycott, boycott… leche kayo!
“E, di mag-boycott kayo. Hala, patayin ninyo ang journalism…”
NO PRETENSIONS. Tanong pa ni Mariz: “Do you think the Filipinos should follow your lead in how you express yourself. In how you talk?”
Sagot ni Duterte, “It’s your choice. This is a democracy.
“If you want to follow me, fine.
“But there are about 15 million-plus Filipinos who voted for me and they heard it over and over again when I was campaigning.
“So, what’s the problem?”
Diin pa ng incoming president, “I never pretended… there was no pretensions because I do not want to pretend.
“So, if you want to follow me, go!
“You said the manner I said... bad manner... I’m sorry, I failed in good manners and right conduct, and that is the subject in Grade IV.”
THREATS FROM INTERNATIONAL NEWS ORGANIZATIONS.
Buwelta niya, “Bullshit to them! I am not the president of the community.
“'Yan ang mahirap dito, puro tinatakot ka na demanda, there’s a convention of this… a convention of that.
“The UN [United Nations], pu**ng ina ka, UN, hindi mo ma-solve-solve yung patayan.
“You did not even lift a finger in Africa, butchering the black people there.
“Tumahimik nga kayo… pareho rin pala kayo ng Pilipinas!
“Do not force your code of conduct on me. You’re not supposed to do that.
“I never signed anything that say I have to behave in this manner or that manner.”
Diin pa ni Duterte, “I am not... I will never change my style, my character and identity.
“My identity is my universal…
“That is the identity that God gave me. I will not change it for anybody.”
