Ayon sa direktor na si Paul Soriano, ang asawa daw niyang si Toni Gonzaga ang pinaka-natuwa nang malamang lalaki ang magiging anak nila.
Aniya, “I know 100 percent, Toni was extremely happy. She really wanted a boy.
“I’m very excited to welcome a little boy and it’s a new chapter in my life and we’ll definitely embrace it.
“But whatever it was, boy or girl, my prayer that it’s healthy, it’s strong, it’s smart and we’re just extremely blessed.”
Unang ibinahagi ni Direk Paul at Toni ang kasarian ng anak sa episode ng Tonight with Boy Abunda noong June 30.

Ipinagdarasal naman daw ni Direk Paul na magabayan sila nang tama sa pagpasok nila sa panibagong bahagi ng kanilang buhay bilang mga magulang.
Saad niya, “Toni and I as parents, that’s gonna be tested now that we’re gonna have a little boy.
“I would like to think my parents and Toni’s parents are there to guide us, to teach us, and to correct us if we do mistakes.
“It’s exciting just like how I make films, it’s unpredictable. This is another challenge that we’re taking on with Toni.
“And in my prayers, we are great parents and we’ll do our best to achieve that.”
Nakapanayam ng ilang media reporters si Direk Paul, kabilang na ang PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), pagkatapos ng press conference ng pelikula niyang Dukot kahapon, July 2, sa WangFu Restaurant, UP Town Center.
TONI WORKING WHILE PREGNANT. Natanong naman si Direk Paul kung hanggang kailan puwedeng magtrabaho si Toni.
Makikita kasi ngayon na magbabalik na ang Pinoy Big Brother sa telebisyon, kunsaan isa si Toni sa main hosts.
Sagot niya, “For as long as the doctor allows her. We have monthly check-ups. Sometimes twice a month we have check-ups.
“The doctor says she’s completely healthy.
“She can work as long as she gets her proper rest and the working conditions are safe.
“Her shows naman have done a great job and they’re making sure she’s doing well. She’s still doing her sitcom [Home Sweetie Home], she’s doing PBB coming up and she has ASAP on Sundays.
“I think she will work until she gives birth, gano'n si Toni, e.”
GODPARENTS. Pagdating naman sa magiging mga ninong at ninang ni “Mini-Paul,” hindi pa raw ito masyadong napag-uusapan ng mag-asawa.
Subalit may dalawang sigurado na raw na bahagi ng listahan: si Alex Gonzaga at ang kapatid ni Direk Paul.
Pagbabahagi ni Direk Paul, “Of course, slowly as we get to the delivery, we’ll get there.
“But of course, we already know Ninang Alex and of course, my brother. Very close sa heart.”
Pagkapanganak ba ni Toni ay may plano na rin silang sundan ito ng isa pang baby?
Tugon ng direktor, “We were able to enjoy one year of marriage, so we wanna enjoy this little boy and learn how to be parents.
“I guess when God says it’s time to have another one, then we will have another.”
