Local celebrities and prominent personalities join many Filipinos who celebrated the decision of the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) to support the Philippines' case against China.
In a 497-page ruling, the judges at the arbitration tribunal in The Hague ruled in favor of the Philippines, saying: “There was no legal basis for China to claim historic rights to resources within the sea areas falling within the 'nine-dash line.'”
Filipinos took the decision very positively by posting messages on social media; some even used #Chexit as hashtag.
Hindi madaling makipagtunggali sa bansang mas malaki at mas malakas sa atin, ngunit kailangang maging matapang. #CHexit

On the other hand, China rejects the tribunal's ruling in West Philippine Sea case.
Xinhua, China’s official news agency, described it as an “ill-founded” ruling that was “naturally null and void.”
It seemed that it is also the same sentiment of most Chinese celebrities.
Chinese K-pop stars used their social media accounts to post a flag of China and a hashtag that translates to: “China cannot become any smaller.”
