"They're very respectful," says Regine Velasquez about former Kapuso colleagues Jaya, Jonalyn Viray, Kyla, and Jolina Magdangal. "Before leaving Channel 7, nagpaalam sila nang maayos."

Regine Velasquez has nothing but good words for her former Kapuso colleagues — Jaya, Jonalyn Viray, Jolina Magdangal, and Kyla — who are now with ABS-CBN.

The Asia’s Songbird said, “Wala naman masama dun. Kasi tapos naman na yung kontrata nila.

“And we’re working. We are working artists. We go where there’s work.” (Philippine Entertainment Portal) interviewed Regine after a PEPtalk shoot held at Mrs. Grahams restaurant in Quezon City, Wednesday, August 3.

The Kapuso singer/actress/TV host maintained that what matters is that Jaya, Jonalyn, Kyla, and Jolina had informed GMA management about their decision to switch networks.

“Lahat yung tatlong artistang binanggit mo—actually, pati si Jolina—they’re very respectful.

“Before leaving Channel 7, nagpaalam sila nang maayos.

“You know, in this business, you don’t wanna burn bridges, ang liit-liit ng industriya.

“Tatlo lang yung network natin. Dapat hindi talaga.”

In Jaya’s case, Regine explained that it just so happened that the former was offered to do a project with ABS-CBN.

“So, bakit mo naman tatanggihan? Lalo na wala rin namang kontrata,” Regine added.

Regine further said that she and Jaya continue to keep in touch.

“She texted me, and I see her all the time.

"She texted me just to let me know about her decision [to transfer to ABS-CBN].

“She values kasi my opinion. She would always let me know what her next steps are.

“And I appreciate that very much.”
