Sandro Marcos clarifies "involved in Davao incident" tweet

Sandro Marcos's #PrayForDavao tweet drew flak among netizens. He wrote in his tweet: "Prayers going out to those involved in the Davao explosion, hoping you all keep safe!" He clarified, however, that his usage of the word "involved" was taken out of context.

Sandro Marcos’s tweet of concern for the victims of the Davao blast drew flak among netizens, particularly for his use of the word “involved.”

His tweet read, “Prayers going out to those involved in the Davao explosion, hoping you all keep safe! #PrayForDavao.”

Using the word “involved,” it was interpreted that his concern was meant for the the Abu Sayyaf Group, which claimed responsibility for the explosion that killed 14 individuals and left more than 60 people wounded.

Because of netizens' reactions, Sandro clarified what he really meant in his tweet.

In most of his replies, he said that it was taken out of context, and that his concern was specifically meant for the victims of the blast.
