Mariing itinanggi ni Lauren Reid ang pagkakasangkot niya sa hiwalayan nina Gab Valenciano at Tricia Centenera.
Ayon sa 23-year-old model, ikinalungkot niya ang pagkadawit ng kanyang pangalan sa hiwalayan nina Gab at Tricia.
“Well, that's a shame, to be honest, to be part of a gossip column.
“But, you know, I guess it comes with being in showbiz.
“I mean, I don't think it's offensive. It's just something that comes with the job, so I'll take it.”
Isa ang pangalan ni Lauren sa binanggit ng isan PEP source na nauugnay kay Gab; ang iba pa ay ang cosplayer na si Alodia Gosiengfiao, ang kapatid ni Yassi Pressman na si Issa Pressman, at ang model/blogger na si Dani Camcam.
Paglilinaw pa ng kapatid ni James Reid, hindi niya ganun kakilala si Gab.
Ang kapatid daw nitong si Kianna Valenciano ang malapit na kaibigan niya.
Nang tanungin naman kung may boyfriend ba ngayon si Lauren, sagot nito, “No, I do not, and I don't plan on it.”
Nakapanayam ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) at iba pang miyembro ng press si Lauren sa launch ng Preview.ph, na ginanap sa Revel at the Palace nightclub, sa Bonifacio Global City, kagabi, September 14.
DEALING WITH BASHERS. Kasunod ng pagkakadawit niya sa hiwalayan nina Gab at Tricia, dumami rin ang bashers ni Lauren. Paano niya ito hina-handle?
Aniya, “I ignore them. I push them away and aside.
“Because I don't need a negative comment ruining a beautiful day.
“It's just really about out of sight, out of mind.”
Hindi rin daw magiging hadlang ang bashers upang mapanatili ang kanyang positivity.
Paliwanag ni Lauren, “To be honest, it's just really, it's natural because, I mean, I haven't always been such a positive person.
“But recently, I just found that you got to go and live each day, day by day.
“If you live past that, and if you let things really get you down, you're not gonna have a happy and successful life.
“You're not gonna be able to achieve things if you have a negative mindset.”
JAMES' ADVICE. Samantala, dumako rin ang usapan sa pagpasok ni Lauren sa showbiz.
Si Lauren ang ikatlo sa kanilang magkakapatid na pumasok sa showbiz; una ay si James nga at sumunod ang bunso nilang kapatid na si Jack Reid.
Lahad niya, “When I first moved here, I actually sent applications to several different international companies here, so I was looking to go down the corporate path.
“But then, there's an opportunity to join showbiz, so I thought I'll probably never gonna get the opportunity to do something like that again.
“I'm not getting any younger, I might as well go for it now.”
Sa kanyang pagpasok sa showbiz, hindi maiiwasang maidikit ang pangalan niya sa kapatid na si James Reid.
Sabi ni Lauren tungkol dito, “I'm tied to the family name, which is definitely one thing.
“And James, in a sense, because on his Instagram, there are pictures of me.
“It's nothing that I would regret in any way. It's [what] I'm thankful for.”
Payo raw ni James kay Lauren sa pagpasok nito sa showbiz, "Be yourself and enjoy what you do.
“Ignore any negativity and negativity that comes your way because it's not important.”
Gusto rin ba niyang mapabilang sa Kapamilya network upang sundan si James?
Sagot ni Lauren, “I haven't really put any though on that, to be honest.
“So maybe down the track, but I haven't really thought about that.”
Sa ngayon, nais muna raw mag-focus ni Lauren sa kanyang acting at hosting workshops kung sakali mang magkaroon din siya ng teleserye projects.
Aniya, “I know that teleseryes are tough work.
“It's not easy, they're in there in hours and hours and hours a day.
“It's something I have to be prepared, mentally and physically, and with a skill set.”
