Christian Bautista says there is advantage in not being the lead in projects. "There's less pressure also. If I'm lead in all, I can't do it. Di ko magagawa." Currently, Christian has a number of projects, such as the musical Jersey Boys, the Kapuso fantaserye Encantadia, the musical competition Superstar Duets, and an upcoming concert with Julie Anne San Jose.

Kasama niya rito sina Nyoy Volante, Markki Stroem, at Nino Alejandro.

“Last year I did a lot of acting: My Mother’s Secret, Strawberry Lane.

“I miss the theater kaya nag-theater ako ulit,” sabi ni Christian nang makausap ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) sa presscon ng nasabing musical play nitong Miyerkules, September 14.

OKAY WITH SUPPORTING ROLES.

Dagdag pa ni Christian Bautista, “I can’t be lead all the time. We always have to experience sometimes ensemble or support.

“And there’s less pressure also. If I’m lead in all, I can’t do it. Di ko magagawa.

“First, if you’re lead in a soap, you have to be there every single day.”

“Here, Nyoy really has the hardest job kasi napakadami niyang ginagawa.

“But we're here to support him and always back him up, so it’s okay.”

MORE TIME FOR PERSONAL LIFE.

Ilagay mo date, time, family time, lagay mo ang gym, tapos babasahin mo lahat, 'Eto gagawin ko.'

“It’s organized. Hindi ko makakalimutan. It’s really how to balance it.

“I can be such a workaholic also na that all I do is work.

“Unfair din naman yun sa relationship and my family, so kailangan meron din akong set-aside time for them. Para holistic.

“I’m not getting any younger.”

“Sometimes we get caught up too much in our work, it becomes our life, so hindi rin masyadong maganda.

“Gusto ko may family time pa rin. Mas nagiging normal.”
