Four months after the 2016 elections, Heart Evangelista finally met President Rodrigo Duterte.
In her Instagram post this Sunday, September 18, Heart described her meeting with the president as “pretty awesome.”
She revealed that they had a “nice chat” about her passion for painting among “other things.”
The 31-year-old Kapuso actress wrote, "Met with the president today... We had a nice chat about my art and other things ?? it was pretty AWESOME."
She also posted a photo of her and the president checking out snapshots of her paintings on her mobile phone.
While Heart didn't disclose where she met the president, it can be deduced that she and her husband Senator Chiz Escudero visited President Duterte in his hometown in Davao City.
Heart posted an airport photo and other snapshots of her "trip" to an undisclosed place earlier today.
It will be recalled that Senator Chiz ran for vice presidency with Senator Grace Poe as his running mate during the May 2016 elections.
Incidentally, President Duterte's son Paolo actually endorsed Senator Chiz's bid for vice presidency at the time.
Paolo Duterte is currently the vice mayor of Davao City.
