Jake Ejercito on dealing with bashers: "I mean, the best way to dispute, like, the best way to deal with it is just to prove them wrong."

Jake Ejercito admitted that he is partly to blame for some of his bashers' misconception about him.

In an exclusive interview with YES! Magazine's October 2016 issue, the 26-year-old said that he tends to keep to himself rather than explain his actions to other people.

“Well, the thing is, I also can't blame them because kasi I don't consider myself a public figure.

“So, people don't know my story.

“So, whatever is out there, nag-assume na lang sila.

“I mean, the best way to dispute, like, the best way to deal with it is just to prove them wrong.”

Jake revealed that his “reserved” personality stemmed from the fact that he was once a target of bullying in school.

Speaking about other people's misconception about him, Jake explained, “The thing about me also is, I guess I'm partly to blame, kasi I'm very reserved.

“I think napansin naman 'yon ng mga tao when I did 'Kalyeserye.' That was me. 'Yong shy type.

“So, yeah, like I don't know why, pero parang [there's] something in me that is scared to be just open.

“Siguro na-trauma na rin [ako] from my childhood because of what happened to my dad.”

Jake was only ten years old when he experienced the backlash of the impeachment of his dad Joseph “Erap” Estrada” from being the president of the country.
