India’s Srinidhi Shetty was crowned as Miss Supranational 2016.
The pageant was held at Krynica Zdroj, Poland, on Friday evening, December 2.
Srinidhi bested 70 contestants including Philippines’ bet Joanna Eden, who made it up to the top 25 finalists.
Valeria Vespoli of Venezuela won first runner-up while Jaleesa Pigot of Suriname finished second runner-up.
Jayanthi de Silva of Sri Lanka and Korinna Kocsis of Hungary bagged third runner up and fourth runner up, respectively.
During the question and answer portion, the top five were fielded questions not from the judges, but from fellow finalists.
Miss India was quizzed by Miss Venezuela who asked the former about the best thing that she experienced throughout the competition.
Srinidhi answered, “One such thing? Well, thank you for your questions. 71 countries, 71 delegates fighting for same crown with unity and love—that’s one thing I’m gonna cherish forever in my life.”
