Erich Gonzales reacts to "snubbing" incident with a fan in New York

Erich Gonzalez refuted a dismayed netizen’s claim that the Kapamilya star was a “snob” during their chance encounter in New York.

It all started with the Twitter post of a certain Andrea Gonzalez who wanted to have her photo taken with Erich, but later changed her mind because the actress seemed unapproachable.

The netizen’s Twitter post last November 30 read:

But Erich’s avid fans quickly defended their idol and even reposted a copy of the Kapamilya actress’s statement about the alleged snubbing.

In what seems to be an Instagram exchange with her fans, Erich maintained that she did not snub the dismayed netizen at all.

The actress said that she even reached out to the netizen, via Instagram direct message, to clear the air between them.

Uploaded by her fans on Twitter last December 2, below is the message that Erich said she sent to the netizen:

“Hi good morning. I just read your tweet. I just wanna let you know that I didn't snub you.

“I was looking around and saw you smiling at me... I smiled at you and I even said hi.

“Then they called me to join the family picture. I was rushing because the baby might be cold and get sick because it was raining."

Erich was referring to the group photo of herself, boyfriend Daniel Matsunaga, and his family at Times Square, New York.

Still addressing the netizen concerned, Erich added, “Also, you didn't ask me for a photo. How will I know [you wanted one]? I don't mind taking photos at all. No problem.

“I don't know what's the purpose of your tweet and your cousins's tweets. And the Instagram post as well.

“God knows my conscience is clear and I didn't do anything wrong to you..."

At any rate, Erich asked her fans not to dwell on the issue anymore.

PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) asked Erich for a statement about the incident through direct messaging on Instagram, but the Kapamilya actress has yet to respond at this writing.
