“They’re on my bucket list… and I have like a whole list.
“I have known about the beaches of the Philippines since 2011 and 2012 when I lived in Hong Kong and all my co workers were Filipino.
“I would see their pictures at home and I’m like, ‘How can I go?’
“So I wanted to go for years!”
Kuwento pa niya, “I actually have one friend here in the Philippines who’s married to one of my American friends.
“She’s just home visiting right now, but I have so many Filipino friends abroad.
“Growing up, my best friend was half-Filipino, so I had a Filipino mama.
“Like, I understand the lumpia and the rice and everything… the grandma, the little brother.
“I understand the Filipino culture because she was like my second mother.
"So, I had a lot of Filipinos in my life.”
TAGALOG WORDS.
“That’s all I got, the two essentials.
“Mahal kita, that’s the one I needed to know.
“You see, I feel like I only heard my best friend’s mom speak Tagalog when she was yelling.
“I’m like, ‘I only know the words when you’re yelling at your daughter. I need to learn a few more,!” ang natatawa pa niyang kuwento.
Kuwento niya, “And MJ Lastimosa… we have connected all over the world.
“She came to my bachelorette in Las Vegas, we connected in Milan, she’s been out to L.A., and we connected.
“And now, we’re connecting here, so it’s fun to have like all the Filipino family, and then MJ especially, she’s best.”
PAGEANT INSIDERS.
Pahayag niya, “We’re here with PLDT Home, we’re giving a lot of the behind-the-scenes kind of view with them.
“When you tune in to their Facebook or their Instagram, you gonna see what we’re doing.
“You gonna see the behind-the-scenes with the girls, they’re going to hear our experiences.
“What’s it really like to compete at the Miss Universe ‘cause we’d been there.
“Not many people can share with you what it’s like to compete at the Miss Universe and they will get the inside scoop from us.
“So we’re kind of their representatives.”
