Maxine Medina of the Philippines.

Maxine Medina has failed to give the Philippines a back-to-back Miss Universe crown.

Maxine bowed out of the competition after the Question and Answer portion, where the Top 6 were asked individual questions.

Miss Universe 2016 host Steve Harvey asked this question to Maxine: "What is the most significant change you have seen in the world in the last 10 years?"

Maxine replied: "In the last 10 years of being here in the world, is that I saw all the people bringing in one event like this in Miss Universe. It is something big to us that we are one. As one nation, we are all together. Thank you. Maraming salamat po!"

The candidates who made it to the Top 3 and have the chance to be the next Miss Universe are Andrea Tovar of Colombia, Iris Mittenaere of France, and Raquel Pelissier of Haiti.

Miss Universe 2016 is being held at the Mall of Asia Arena, Monday morning, January 30 (Philippine time).
