VIVA denies sponsorship contract with Tourism Promotions Board for JaDine concert abroad

Naglabas ng opisyal na pahayag ang VIVA Communications kaugnay ng pagkakadawit ng kanilang artists na sina James Reid at Nadine Lustre sa reklamo ng "concerned employees" ng Tourism Promotions Board laban sa COO ng ahensiya na si Cesar Montano.


Isa sa reklamo umano ng "concerned employees" ng Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) laban sa kanilang chief operating officer (COO) na si Cesar Montano ay ang sponsorship daw ng ahensiya sa concert nina James Reid at Nadine Lustre sa abroad.

Ang sponsorship ng concert, na gaganapin sa U.S. at sa UAE, ay nagkakahalaga raw ng P12 million.

Ayon sa alegasyon, dumaan lamang daw ang sponsorship contract sa opisina ni Cesar at hindi aprubado ng buong board ng ahensiya.

Ngunit pinabulaanan ito ng VIVA Communications ngayong araw, March 13.

Sina James at Nadine ay contract artists ng Viva Artists Agency (VAA).

Ayon sa statement ni Jay Montelibano, ang vice president for sales and production ng kumpanya, na ibinahagi ng entertainment editor na si Salve Asis, hindi totoong may kontratang pinirmahan si Cesar at ang Viva Communications tungkol sa JaDine concert abroad.

Nakalagay sa pahayag: “At best, all we have is a proposal.

"Until all approvals are obtained from the proper channels, any supposed sponsorship of the James Reid and Nadine Lustre (JADINE) tour is not binding on VIVA.

“Further, VIVA has not received any consideration from Tourism Promotions Board for the supposed sponsorship.

“Thus, no Tourism Promotions Board sponsorship of the JaDine tour will proceed.”
