Angel Locsin accepted her foiled bid to reprise the iconic Pinay superhero Darna with grace and optimism.
In her Instagram post today, March 21, the 31-year-old Kapamilya actress said that she felt privileged to have portrayed Darna at least once in her lifetime.
Angel’s caption partly read: “Though it did not go as planned, it was still an amazing journey. Darna embodies the heart, resilience and hope of a Filipina and it was a pleasure to have played her.”
Angel further expressed her good wishes to the next “lucky lady” who will be chosen to topbill Star Cinema’s Darna movie.
She wrote, “I now entrust the reins to the next lucky lady who will have the time of her life portraying the role. Maraming Salamat”
Meanwhile, Angel's avid supporters protested against Star Cinema's decision to let go of the 31-year-old actress from the Darna movie due to health reasons.
