Kapuso actress Carla Abellana posted a lengthy message on Instagram about animal cruelty, following a news report on illegal meat trade in Baguio, Pangasinan, and Pampanga.
Carla, an animal rights advocate, once again took to social media to make an appeal to stop violence against animals.
“As much as i don't wanna post anything bad or negative, i have to. Because awareness is always the first step to correcting what is wrong and most especially illegal,” the actress said in her Instagram post, Tuesday, March 28.
Carla also posted a collage of photos from GMA News' report about two men involved in killing dogs and cats for meat trade in Pangasinan.
She appealed to people to report incidents of animal cruelty and meat trade, which is now considered illegal.
“I receive dozens of reports on a daily basis about animal cruelty and i am fully aware of the illegal dog (and cat) meat trade in Baguio, Pangasinan, and Pampanga among other provinces.”
Carla also asked the authorities to do their job.
#NoToAnimalCruelty”
Carla is known for being vocal about animal cruelty and an advocate of proper treatment to animals.
