Jaclyn Jose revealed she and Laarni Enriquez have not spoken to each other even after it became known that Jake Ejercito is the biological father of Andi Eigenmann's daughter, Ellie.
According to Jaclyn, “We don’t talk from the start because she doesn’t like Andi, so what can I do?
“There’s nothing to talk about. Ayaw niya yung anak ko, e, di huwag.”
Jake is Laarni's son with Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada, and Andi is Jaclyn's daughter with the late actor Mark Gil.
The veteran actress said she felt compelled to speak out when she learned about Laarni's comment on Andi’s long working hours
"I am sorry to mention your name, but I heard lang na, ‘Nung panahon ko hindi naman ganyan, e…" Jaclyn said, alluding to Laarni's alleged remark.
She went on, “Well, ibang panahon noon, ibang panahon ngayon.
“Kailangan ngayon magkayod ka nang magkayod talaga para mabuhay ang anak mo.
“At wala kaming hinihingi sa kanila maski ano.”
PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other entertainment reporters interviewed Jaclyn yesterday, April 5, after the presscon at GMA Network Center of her upcoming afternoon teleserye D' Originals.
JAKE'S PETITION FOR CHILD CUSTODY. It was in the same interview that Jaclyn learned about Jake’s petition for joint custody of his five-year-old daughter.
The news surprised her, and once more emphasized that she has never discouraged Ellie from having a close relationship with her dad and his family.
Jaclyn recalled, “I always ask Ellie kapag darating ‘yan, 'O, how’s everything?'
"She's gonna make kuwento about the grandma, Daddy Lo [Joseph Estrada], Tita Ika [Jerika Ejercito], Jacob, daddy—everyone there.
“So, what’s the big deal? Birthday ni Jake, March 27, Ellie was there.
"Every time na hiramin nila, nakukuha nila.
“May mga picture pa sila nila Erap sa Tagaytay...”
“What are they talking about?
“But of course, I want Ellie [na] maging tao nang buo. So, if I may, kung puwedeng maging…
“Alam ko naman na part si Jake sa pagiging daddy kay Ellie.
"Silang dalawa ni Andi ang deal dun. Wala akong kinalaman dun.
"Nakikita ko lang ang ibinibigay din naman ng kabila."
During the presscon, before she learned about Jake’s legal move, the 53-year-old Kapuso actress spoke about him in kinder terms.
"Everyone knows that I care for him kasi maliliit pa ‘yang mga ‘yan... sabay kami nagbuntis ng mommy niya.
“He is like a son to me ever since, bago pa siya naging daddy ni Ellie.”
“Pakiramdam ko, lalaki namang isang buong bata ang apo ko at masayahin kasi wala naman issue between the three of them.”
Jaclyn's tone, however, changed when she learned about Jake's latest deed.
