Gerald Anderson was all praises for his constant date and "special friend" Bea Alonzo.
In an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) on April 20, at Gerald's launch as one of the new faces of Century Tuna, along with Matteo Guidicelli and Paulo Avelino, Gerald admitted that Bea inspires him even when he simply sees her on television.
The Kapamilya actress is currently in the primetime series A Love To Last with Ian Veneracion.
Gerald elaborates, "Minsan pinapanood ko lang siya. Beside the fact na ang ganda niya, but yung pinag-aaralan ko, ‘Wow, ang tagal na din niya sa business.'
"And it’s amazing that I get to learn things from her nang hindi niya alam."
Although they say they don't talk about work when they're together, the 28-year-old actor is open about admiring Bea and Ian's chemistry onscreen.
Smiling, he commented, "Ang galing, galing. That’s the whole point of what we’re doing, making people happy."
He added, "Di ko sinasabi sa kanya pero, well, malalaman niya na ngayon, sobrang hinahangaan ko siya, yung dedication niya sa trabaho niya."
Bea and Gerald worked together last year in How To Be Yours.
DAVAO GETAWAY. Although a summer getaway was close to impossible because of their busy schedules, the Kapamilya stars managed to enjoy the Holy Week by heading to Davao.
Bea and Gerald, along with friends, spent the long weekend at the Pearl Farm Beach Resort.
To this, the hunk actor said, "Nag-summer vacation lang kami with full of her friends and my friends. Chill lang, relax lang, away from the city."
Asked whether the trip is a confirmation of their real status, he sidestepped the question, saying to PEP, "Nah, we just... mahalaga yung oras na kapag magkasama kami, so it's very important."
Despite the two becoming more visible to the public, Gerald insisted they are just special friends.
Given the real score, what makes their relationship special?
He said, "Kaming pareho, we’re very busy.
"Ang dami na naming ginagawa, mahal namin iyong trabaho, alam naming kung ano pa rin yung priorities namin, but we still find time to see each other."
Prior to their beach getaway, the couple was spotted at the Lubao International Balloon and Music Festival in Pampanga.
