Bela Padilla insists that she has moved on from her breakup with boyfriend Neil Arce, who is now being romantically linked to Angel Locsin.
In her interview with Tonight With Boy Abunda last Tuesday, April 27, Bela said, “I’m really okay since the start pa lang of our breakup… kami ni Neil.
“People have been telling me to cry, it’s so funny.
“My best friends have been telling me to cry.
"Even si Zanjoe [Marudo] told me to cry when we started to tape, kasi that’s when we broke up.”
Zanjoe and Bela are co-stars in the ongoing ABS-CBN primetime teleserye My Dear Heart.
Bela announced her breakup with Neil last January.
The actress explained that she had no reason to cry after their split.
“Neil is not a bad person, so there’s nothing to cry about.
“We had a good run.
“It’s just that it had to come to an end.”
Bela also revealed that she saw their breakup coming.
“I feel like maybe for a year now, we’ve been pushing off the breakup, pero we already felt it coming.
"So, feeling ko, in a way, naka-move on ako in a year."
She stressed, “I’m actually very, very much okay.
“Yun nga, I hate it when I see the look of pity in people’s eyes when they say, ‘He’s dating, are you okay?’
"I am okay. I am okay. I’m not dating right now by choice."
While she appreciates the concern of her friends, Bela finds it awkward getting messages of concern from complete strangers.
Meanwhile, though they have broken up, Bela and Neil will continue to work together in film productions.
And she does not have a problem with it.
They actually have a movie coming up, Luck at First Sight, which stars Bela and Jericho Rosales, and Neil is one of the producers.
The former couple is also set to start another movie based on a script by Bela and to be produced by Neil.
