Tommy Esguerra and Miho Nishida have broken up, confirms ABS-CBN talent arm Star Magic in a statement.
The celebrity couple has mutually decided to end their relationship after more than a year.
Star Magic's statement further read: “Both parties remain friends but have agreed to spend time apart.
“Miho and Tommy ask for your continuous support for their individual careers. Thank you.”
The statement, however, did not mention the reason for their breakup.
Tommy and Miho's relationship blossomed during their stint on ABS-CBN's reality TV show Pinoy Big Brother 737 in 2015.
They officially became a couple in December 2015, after Tommy publicly asked Miho on It's Showtime if she could be his girlfriend.
Fans speculated that something is wrong between the couple when Tommy erased his photos with Miho on his Instagram account yesterday, April 26.
The news hurt many of their fans, who expressed their feelings about the couple's breakup on Twitter.

In an interview with the couple during the press conference of their debut movie, Foolish Love, last January, Tommy admitted that his relationship with Miho also had a rough patch.
“No relationship is smooth, let's be honest. Whether friends, family, girlfriend-boyfriend. Steady lang,” he said.
On the other hand, Miho said misunderstandings with Tommy made their relationship stronger.
“Marami kaming natutunan at nakilala ko siya, nakilala niya rin ako.
“Sana magkaano pa kami, you know, umaangat pa kami.
“Parang help each other para umangat pa kami bilang isang love team, isang totoong relationship.”
