The reported budding romance between Angel Locsin and Neil Arce is still on.
Neil, a businessman and film producer, is better known in showbiz circles as the ex-boyfriend of Bela Padilla. They were together for four years.
Based on his Instagram post last night, May 10, Neil took a snapshot of Angel while they were inside a car.
He hinted at his feelings for the actress with the photo’s caption that read: “Pag lumingon ka akin ka.”
Neil’s pick-up line was reminiscent of Angel’s character Cedes in her 2011 movie In the Name of Love with co-star Aga Muhlach.
There was a kilig scene in the movie when Cedes whispered the same line—wishing that Aga’s character Emman would look back at her—just as he was walking away with another girl.
When Emman did look back at Cedes, she giddily shouted: “Yes! Yes! Yes!”
This was the reason why some of Neil’s Instagram followers were asking if the same scene occurred between him and Angel in real life.
Angel’s close friend Bubbles Paraiso also commented: “Hahaha I remember this line.”
Neri Naig was equally charmed by the kilig moment.
Addressing Neil and Angel, Neri wrote: "Cute nyong dalawa."
Neri is the wife of Parokya Ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda, who’s a close friend of Angel and Bubbles.
Angel, for her part, liked the Instagram post of Neil.
On her 32nd birthday last March, she had been vocal about Neil making her day extra special.
