ANational Youth Commission Aiza Seguerra on past issue with Senator Tito Sotto: "I apologize not for having a different side, not for having opposing opinion. But I apologize, instead of talking to him directly, I went through social media."

These are facts. Based on science and research.”

WHAT AIZA APOLOGIZED FOR...

“My God!

Tugon ng NYC chairman, “Oo, nagkausap na kami after the HIV [issue]. Nag-usap kami sa… amin na yun.

“Ang sinabi ko lang is, 'Sir, I apologize not for having a different side, not for having opposing opinion.'

“But I apologize, instead of talking to him directly, I went through social media.

“Doon ako nag-sorry sa kanya, and he apologized also.

“Sinabi ko sa kanya, ‘I hope, you know, that there are really things that we don’t agree on, e. And I think that’s normal.’

“At kahit din naman sila, tanggap yun, na parang hindi ninyo naman kailangang mag-agree, but talk about it nang kayo. So, ayun.”

Pero dagdag niya, “Ako, I don’t want to comment anymore. Basta ako, nagkausap na kami.”

DIFFERENT OPINIONS.

“Doon mo makikita na talagang kahit lumaki ako kasama nila, talagang sometimes there are differing opinions.

“And yun nga, e, ako, right now, we’re advocating for peace, ‘no?

“Doon mo makikita na lahat tayo iba-iba. Iba-iba tayo ng opinyon.

“Iba-iba tayo ng pinanggalingan. We all have our own different ano of truth.

“But what is important is kahit iba ang truth ko, iba ang truth mo, how do we work together? How can we meet in the middle?

“Kasi, it cannot just be your truth.

“But what about mine? What about his?

“What is important is we all meet halfway.

“Tingnan natin kung paano yung pagkakaiba-iba natin ay mapag-usapan natin, and hopefully from that, e, magkaoon ng isang unified version of truth.”

“WE’RE FAMILY.”

Ayon kay Aiza, “Yeah, I just greeted him ‘Happy Birthday.’

“Kami naman ni Bosing, hindi naman kami yung tipong berks na, ‘Hey, how are you? Miss you. Mwah.’

“No, we don’t do that. If we miss each other, we miss each other.

“So, basta, my love for him will never change. It’s there and it will always be there.”

“'But there is a way siguro of stating your opinion without…'

"Siguro yun, ang ano lang nila is, ‘We are friends… Actually, we are not just friends, we are all family here. Talk to me directly.’ Yun lang

“And ako, yun ang nakita kong fault ko.”

Pero diin ni Aiza, “At inuulit ko, for the record, that I apologized not for stating my views, my opinions.

“Because whatever happens, I will always state my opinions about things. No matter who, no matter kung sino pa ‘yan.

“But I apologized because he’s family to me.

“I apologized because instead of talking to him directly, I went through social media.

“So, I hope nakita ninyo ang kaibahan noon, because I don’t want people saying na, ‘Ah, porke family.’

“No, that’s not true.

“I will always say what’s on my head, what’s on my mind.

“But I don’t need to go through social media to do that because andiyan naman siya, e.

“And I will make sure that I will create policies that will support whatever it is kung ano ang opinion ko about things.”
