Kris Aquino finally announced that she’s set to start shooting her participation in a Hollywood film this June.
In an Instagram post today, May 31, the Queen of All Media said that she’s flying to Japan for a leisure trip before getting back to work for her international acting stint.
Her caption partly read: “We're back on the 8th for my fittings for the Hollywood movie I'm not allowed to talk about- I'm filming my scenes this June 2017. #dreamsdocometrue”
Kris gave this statement following feedback from her Instagram followers who are “worried” about whether or not the Queen of All Media will manage to make a showbiz comeback within the year.
Addressing a netizen with the handle name @welliewee, Kris assured that she’ll be doing a “new show” soon.
Kris said, “you can watch my webisodes on FB REALKRISAQUINO & on YouTube. I'm shooting June. Bawal magsalita about my new show- but happening sooner than soon”
It was mid-April when all of Manila speculated that the Queen of All Media may be in the movie version of Kevin Kwan's best-selling novel Crazy Rich Asians.
While Kris has yet to announce the title of the Hollywood film that she'll be a part of, her Instagram followers picked up clues from the actress-TV host's own social media posts.
She previously revealed that her reading fare during the Holy Week break included Kwan's trilogy novels Crazy Rich Asians, Chinese Rich Girlfriend, and Rich People Problems.
Then, on April 12, the 46-year-old Kris expressed her excitement when she got a follow-back from Kwan himself on Instagram.
Kevin is reportedly one of the executive producers of Warner Bros.’ upcoming movie adaptation of his book Crazy Rich Asians, the first installment out of the trilogy novels.
