Ella Cruz denies ever having been in a relationship with businessman Xian Gaza.
Xian—who identifies himself as CEO of a Hong Kong-based company—is the same non-showbiz fellow who asked for a coffee date with Erich Gonzales through a huge billboard mounted along Morayta Avenue, Manila.

Asked if she and Xian became a couple, Ella categorically answers, “Hindi po. Hindi rin po [siya] nanligaw.”
Ella's response is a reaction to the photos that Xian posted of himself and Ella on his social media accounts, with captions hinting at his romantic feelings for her.
Netizens picked up on the hints. In Xian's Instagram post dated February 6, 2017, netizens left comments asking about the real score between him and the actress-dancer.
Speaking to Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP.ph), Ella clarifies that Xian first reached out to her as a “secret admirer.”
The 20-year-old actress-dancer elaborates, “He sends flowers and stuff lang before nang hindi siya nagpapakita and saying na he's a big fan, tapos secret identity.
“Hindi real name niya gamit.”
Recalling how Xian identified himself at the time, Ella says, “Lagi niya pinapalitan code name niya. Before, he was Chairman Stark, CEO Stark, and now iba na naman pala.”
PEP interviewed Ella through an exclusive exchange of Twitter messages on Tuesday night, June 4.
Ella says she eventually met Xian when he offered to become her business partner in her dance studio in Quezon City.
She recalls, “He proposed a business partnership for my EC Dance Studio para mas mag-boost.
“The business partnership went well naman at first, kaya lang nagkaro'n ng problem po and we have to pull out the partnerships and everything.”
Ella says she was aware that Xian had a “crush” on her.
But she goes on to say that she was surprised that his captions on the photos he posted of her on his social media posts made it seem like there was a brewing romance between them at the time.
“And kahit after our meetings, nagse-send pa rin siya ng flowers.
“Tapos nakita ko na lang na ganun mga pa-post niya pala.”

In a separate PEP.ph report, Ella's mom Jessica spoke about an alleged scam involving Xian and a Qatar-based producer for Ella's concert.
Jessica also spoke about an incident when Xian issued bouncing checks for an SUV that he bought from Jessica's husband.
