Kris Aquino on ongoing negotiations for her TV comeback: "Ang hirap pangunahan. What if hindi matuloy? Ako mapapahiya," said the Queen of All Media in an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), Tuesday, July 4.

Kris Aquino confirmed that she has ongoing negotiations for her possible TV comeback, but she refused to name which TV network she's signing with.

She said, "I'm not allowed to say. Kasi nag-promise ako sa kanila to shut up."

Citing her firm decision to stay mum about her speculated TV comeback, the Queen of All Media remarked, “I'm now so proper! What has happened to me? Hahaha!”

PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and selected entertainment reporters had a long chat with Kris after her endorsement pictorial, which was held at Siren Studios in Makati City, Tuesday afternoon, July 4.

The Queen of All Media was in high spirits, saying that her foray into digital media has brought her new endorsements and a new platform for other work-related projects.

But she admitted that she's excited to be back on TV, which has been her work-slash-playground for more than two decades.

“I am not totally disregarding the need to be back on free TV.

“So, the negotiations are ongoing. I'm excited about it. It's something also very new for me.

"But it's something that I'm not rushing because I want the right project."

Kris's exclusive contract with ABS-CBN ended on March 23, 2016.

Her last daily hosting stint was for Kapamilya network's morning talk show Kris TV, which concluded in April 2016.

By September 2016, she bade farewell to her home network of 20 years and announced her plan to do a TV show produced with APT Entertainment.

But Kris later revealed that the project would no longer push through.

TV COMEBACK. As for her current plans for her showbiz career, Kris continued, “So many shows have been offered. And if I just wanted to be back, I would have grabbed it.

"But, I didn't want to just grab something just to be back. Kasi parang I didn't want to cheat the audience or myself.”

Kris also gave a hint about her impression of the people she's talking to for her TV comeback.

"I've met a lot of people along the way.

"I like them. They seem to like me. And we're taking our time also.

“Because I had to establish this [Kris's digital platform] kasi pera ko 'to, e—the seed money for this.

"But how nice na nabawi ko na yung capital investment ko."

However, the Queen of All Media reiterated that she'd rather not disclose which TV network she's having negotiations with, since it has yet to be finalized.

She explained, “No, it's parang ano, ang hirap pangunahan. What if hindi matuloy? Ako mapapahiya."

According to Kris, the only thing she can share is that she has learned to be in the know with the latest shows in all three major TV networks—in no particular order—ABS-CBN, GMA-7, and TV5.

Whereas in the past 20 years, she said, all she knew were the ones shown in her former home network.
