Ngayong Biyernes, July 7, isang press launch ang ginanap sa New World Makati Hotel.
Pahayag ni Vegafria sa press conference kanina, "Not next year [but] I have an offer to stage it in the Philippines in 2019, actually.
"So I need the help of the government, the support of the government, the support of the sponsors and all the Filipinos so that, you know, we can stage it here for the first time.
"Miss World will be shown in 146 countries, it's bigger than the other pageants... So, Miss World has a total of 146 [participating] countries.
"We can showcase our country in 146 countries, the beauty of our people, the beauty of our tourism, and of course, the hospitality of the Filipino people.
"Sana tumulong ang mga sponsors, not only me... our government especially, the Department of Tourism.
"I hope that they would listen to me and stage the event here in the country."
Natatawang sagot nito, "It's all love and passion and generosity. That's all I can answer!
"I can't tell you how much, but it's support from the sponsors and support from the people who's will to help us with our charity, but I can't reveal the numbers."
NEW CHAIRMAN.
"I met Julia Morley a long time ago pa, especially on the first Miss World Philippines pageant, the time of Gwen [Ruais].
"And then we became close when I was part of Miss World during the time of Megan, since I was the vice president [that time]...
"Up to now, I have good relationship with the Miss World Organization, especially with Julia.
"And all of a sudden, I was in LA for some work there, fortunately Julia and Steven Morley were also there and we were staying at the same hotel in Beverly Hills.
"We met at the lobby of the hotel and they offered... she [Julia] offered personally to me if I can handle the Miss World Philippines pageant in 2017."
"Fortunately naman, we had a good talk with the group of former franchise-holder and then the next day, I accepted it."
Dagdag pa niya, "I prayed over kung kaya ko nga and the next day, I accepted the offer."
