Jesi Corcuera expressed how proud he is of fellow transgender man Jake Zyrus—formerly known as Charice Pempengco—via Twitter.
Jesi posted his tweets after Jake's guest appearance on Gandang Gabi Vice last Sunday, July 9.
In the said episode, the singer, who was previously dubbed as “the most talented girl on earth,” opened up about his sexuality and personal life.
This is something that Jesi was able to relate to because, according to his tweet, he also experienced the same thing.

It was only this June when Jake Zyrus dropped his old name Charice for a new screen name, which the singer also uses in his social media accounts.
Jesi, on the other hand, was the first openly lesbian contestant of StarStruck: The Next Level (2006-2007), the reality-based artista search of GMA Network.
In 2016, Jesi returned to the limelight as one of the housemates of ABS-CBN's Pinoy Big Brother Lucky 7.
This time, he introduced himself as a trans man.
