Sharon Cuneta’s rant about the bad traffic situation in Metro Manila backfired when angered netizens criticized her for complaining about a long-standing problem.
The Megastar lamented on her Facebook account last July 25, Tuesday, about the “horrible” traffic condition in the city and said that it is “wrong.”
She also stressed that she is a taxpayer and she loves her country.
The coach of The Voice Teens added: “Bakit naman kaya di gumawa ang mga ninuno natin ng matinong city planning noong araw jusko.”
Sharon ended her post by saying that she expects the situation to worsen in the coming days.
While some agree with Sharon, most of the comments bashed the Megastar for complaining.
Many netizens questioned why the veteran actress-singer is commenting on the issue just now.
Some even blamed her husband, Senator Kiko Pangilinan, for not coming up with a solution to the problem. The legislator had served in the Senate from 2001 to 2013, and again since 2016.
Sharon’s post has generated more than 600 comments as of writing.
Last night, July 26, Sharon posted again on Facebook about the same topic, this time laced with sarcasm.
In the post, the Megastar mentioned that the commuters also suffer from the problem, but she will still be bashed regardless.
She deleted the post not long after.
However, Sharon shared the deleted status on her Twitter account. It reads:
“Yehey! Mahal na mahal talaga tayo ng EDSA!!! Tatlong oras lang naman ang binyahe ko mula Alabang hanggang QC!...”
