Former Pinoy Big Brother housemate Wil Dasovich has been diagnosed with cancer.
Wil made the announcement through his vlog posted on YouTube today, August 24.
“The other day I was diagnosed with cancer,” he told his subscribers.
Wil also wrote this description on his vlog: “After months of internal bleeding and frequent visits to the hospital, the mystery is finally over.
“The doctor called with the diagnosis on my condition.”
The YouTube vlogger recently returned to the U.S. to undergo medical tests since he's been suffering from internal bleeding for several months now.
However, he did not reveal what type of cancer he has been diagnosed of.
Wil said that his doctor's news made him reflect on what he's been doing for the past two years, which is vlogging.
“After hearing the news I could not help but reflect on everything that I have experienced in the last 25 years, and how I got to this point in my life.
“The purpose of my vlogs as a whole are simply to provide a personal perspective and exemplify the way I have lived my life in a positive and meaningful way, focusing on how I have experienced as much as I could within the amount of time given,” Wil wrote on the description of his latest vlog.
Although he's been diagnosed with a serious illness, Wil promised his subscribers that he will not stop posting video blogs.
“As tough as it was for me to take that in, that's not gonna stop me from having fun and being myself and continuing to do what makes me happy.
“Having an audience that will listen to me or be open to my ideas and just hear me out is something I am deeply grateful for and will never take for granted,” he said.
Apart from hitting a million subscribers, Wil wishes to spread positivity to his audience.
“If there's one thing I want you to take away from this video, it's to experience as much as possible in the amount of time that you have.
“I think the aggregate of my over 400 videos can be summarized by just that.
“As you all age, you'll eventually come to the realization that there'll be more disappointment by the things that you didn't do and by the things that you did, too,” he ended.
A few hours after the news about his condition broke out, Wil posted this message on his Twitter account to thank his supporters:
