"What would you ask President Rodrigo Duterte if you were given the chance?"
The newly-crowned Miss World Philippines 2017 Laura Lehmann was asked this question during her guest appearance in New Day, CNN Philippines’ morning newscast yesterday, Wednesday, September 6.
Laura was tackled random questions from netizens in the said program, which she answered a-la question-and-answer portion in a beauty pageant.
The question went, “If you were given the chance to talk to our President, what would you want to ask him, and why did you ask that question to President Duterte?”
She replied, “I think I would ask him where he sees our country in five years, because I think that’s a big thing in the Philippines right now.
“Everyone wants change, everyone’s wondering where our country is going to go to.
"I think I just want to ask him what his plans are, where he sees us in the next five years and if he thinks if its achievable, because there are a lot of problems, but hopefully he has good plans and good ideas.”
Laura won the Miss World Philippines 2017 title last Sunday, September 3, in the pageant held at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
She is slated to compete in the Miss World 2017 pageant, which will be held in China this November.
That leaves her with only one month to prepare for the pageant, but this doesn’t faze the 24-year-old stunner.
Laura said, “I’m leaving in October.
“I have one month to prepare, so it’s quite a short of time to prepare.
“But I think I’m going to use my time wisely, train very hard.
“I know that I’ll have the Philippine sash with me, and of course, I want to represent the Filipinos in the best way I can.”
