When asked about her dating history, Lovi Poe denied an entertainment reporter’s speculation that she already had a total of 10 ex-boyfriends.
The 28-year-old actress stressed, “No! Talagang no!”
Based on her latest count, she clarified that she only had “three and a half” ex-boyfriends.
She added, laughing, “Yung isa, hindi ko sure kung official.”
Lovi’s latest interview was at the presscon of GMA Network’s still-untitled primetime series, which was held at the 17th floor of GMA Network Center, Thursday, September 21.
The Kapuso actress did not mention the names of her exes, but it is no secret in showbiz circles that some of her past beaus were Rocco Nacino, former Ilocos Sur First District Representative Ronald Singson, and Cavite Vice Governor Jolo Revilla.
Lovi also dated Jake Cuenca, but she only admitted that they were once an item long after they parted ways.
At the presscon, Lovi explained that she wouldn’t let naysayers judging her string of relationships affect the way she handles her love life.
“In terms of asking the number of exes, one explanation is that sometimes people would say, ‘Ha? Ang dami mo nang dinate. Ang dami mo nang ex.’
“Like as if you’re such a bad person. That’s not true.
“First of all, you will meet a lot of people in your life, and some people will treat you like a princess and then fall in love, and then break your heart eventually.
“So, it’s a whole process of meeting the one.”
According to Lovi, settling for less than what she deserves is not an option.
She continued, “You cannot stick to one partner or just end up with the fourth, ‘Pang-apat ko na ‘to kaya ayoko na.’
“Hindi puwedeng ganun, e. You shouldn’t think that way.
“If things didn’t work out, I don’t care about what other people will say.
“It’s like, I am moving on and I am gonna find the right person for me.
“And I don’t care kung ma-judge ako ng ibang tao.
“As along as you know it’s not about the reputation, it’s about your character.”
