Kris Aquino nearly wiped out the number of people that she is following on her Instagram account.
Six days ago, on September 17, Kris posted on Instagram a picture of the get-together of the Aquino family at her Quezon City home.
In the comments thread, a netizen left a comment asking Kris why she is no longer following anybody on Instagram.
To which the 46-year-old actress and TV host responded, "@themartingregorio to spare people I follow of any reprisal or harassment.
“Sad but true-it’s not healthy to be identified w/ us now."
Kris further clarified that her decision to unfollow friends doesn't necessarily mean she's not on good terms with them.
STILL FRIENDS WITH TONI GONZAGA. Just last night, September 22, she posted on Instagram a message saying that she's looking forward to watch Toni Gonzaga's movie opposite Piolo Pascual, Last Night.
The latter part of her message to Toni read, "And this quote from a book of essays i just finished reading: YOU NEVER MEET PEOPLE AT THE WRONG TIME BECAUSE THE RIGHT PEOPLE ARE TIMELESS. Good night."
When a netizen questioned why Kris even tagged Toni whom she unfollowed on Instagram, the former ABS-CBN star then cited that she is still in communication with the Last Night actress.
Kris wrote, "We may not follow each other on social media but we do keep in touch privately. And that is special."
Kris also confirmed that she's not even following her longtime right-hand person and confidante Alvin Gagui.
At press time, Kris is only following ten people on Instagram.
Among the showbiz personalities that she is following are Kim Chiu, Erich Gonzales, Angel Locsin, Alden Richards, Zsa Zsa Padilla, and Pokwang.
INSTAGRAM FIASCO. Last July, Kris made headlines when she suddenly unfollowed Karla Estrada and Jolina Magdangal on Instagram.
Karla and Jolina are co-hosts of the ABS-CBN morning talk show Magandang Buhay, which replaced Kris's now-defunct program, Kris TV.
But in a July 27 interview, Kris clarified that it was one of her social media managers handling her Instagram account who seemed to have unfollowed Karla and Jolina.
Speaking to entertainment reporters, including PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), Kris said, "I actually didn't know na na-unfollow. And I'm sorry if it's an issue na na-unfollow. Sasabihin ko sa kanilang i-follow nila ulit if it's an issue."
