ABS-CBN veteran actress Sylvia Sanchez is The PEP LIST Year 4 Editors' Choice for Teleserye Actress of the Year.
Sylvia won for her performance in the daytime series The Greatest Love, which ran from September 2016 to April 2017.
In the Kapamilya teleserye, she played Gloria, a woman who tries to rebuild her broken family after being inflicted with Alzheimer's disease.
Sylvia bested other nominees for this category: Glaiza de Castro (Encantadia), Julia Montes (Doble Kara), Lovi Poe (Someone To Watch Over Me), and Regine Velasquez (Poor Señorita).
The PEP Editorial team personally presented Sylvia's trophy to her, on the set of her still-untitled upcoming TV series, in Bacoor, Cavite, earlier today, September 25.
With a new project coming up, Sylvia promises to give justice to her new role, the way she did in The Greatest Love.
Thank you po."
GMO Unit, helmed by business unit head Ginny Monteagudo-Ocampo, is the entertainment unit which produced The Greatest Love.
DAYTIME SERIES OF THE YEAR. The Greatest Love also bagged the PEP Editors' Choice for Daytime Series of the Year award.
The family drama won over other nominees for the category: Doble Kara (ABS-CBN), Sinungaling Mong Puso (GMA-7), The Millionaire's Wife (GMA-7), and Tubig at Langis (ABS-CBN).
Aside from Sylvia, The Greatest Love's executive producer Marielle de Guzman-Navarro was also present to accept the award on behalf of the show's team.
Navarro expressed her gratitude that the show is still receiving recognition even when it has been off the air for five months.
"Sobra siyang overwhelming, so thank you to everyone, yun lang po."
Sylvia and The Greatest Love are the sixth and seventh winners to be awarded for The PEP LIST Year 4.
Kapuso actress Barbie Forteza, Star for All Seasons Vilma Santos-Recto, and Kapamilya loveteam Elisse Joson and McCoy de Leon were the first four to receive their awards last week.
Earlier today, Dimples Romana also accepted her Teleserye Supporting Actress of the Year award for her perfomance in The Greatest Love.
More winners of The PEP LIST Year 4 will be announced in the coming days.
