Gwendolyn Ruais on filing a legal complaint versus Talk 'N Text wives and girlfriends (WAGS): "I just want what's right. It's only what's right. There should be consequences to everyone's action. And when you act in such a disgraceful manner, that's not proper decorum. It's not how you act in public."

“All I can say is that I didn’t start it. I didn’t do anything.”

Miss World 2011 First Princess Gwendoline Ruais finally broke her silence nearly three months after she figured in a post-game shouting match with the wives and girlfriends (WAGS) of Talk 'N Text (TNT) KaTropa basketball players.

The incident happened on June 30 at the Araneta Coliseum, right after San Miguel Beermen’s (SMB) 111-102 win over TNT in Game 5 of PBA Finals.

Better known by her monicker Gwen, the 27-year-old former beauty queen is the fiancée of SMB’s David Semerad, whose twin brother, Anthony, plays for TNT.

Gwen confirmed that she has filed with the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office her complaint of oral defamation and unjust vexation against several TNT wives and girlfriends.

She refused to give the names of the women verbally.

PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and two other entertainment reporters interviewed Gwen last Thursday afternoon, September 28, at a condo in Makati City.

According to SPIN.ph and other online sites, citing eyewitness accounts, both Gwen and a certain Michelle Rosario were sighted in the commotion involving other SMB and TNT WAGS who were waiting for players to exit from the dugout.

It was also reported that Gwen started the catfight when she called one of the WAGS "yaya."

But Gwen denied all these in the interview, “Actually, wala akong kaaway. It’s more of this incident happened to me.

“The funny thing is wala akong kilala from the incident.

"The only person that I know is this one girl and her mother.

“I can’t mention the name, unfortunately, since I already filed a case against them.”

Michelle, who is the wife of TNT’s Troy Rosario, was reportedly “irate” with Gwen and other Beermen’s WAGS.

After the incident, Michelle posted on Twitter a short statement that read: “I was trying to pacify the scene when she said to me 'Bye bye yaya' How can I calm down!!! I'm not the one who started this.”

Gwen also denied Michelle’s allegation, “Actually, I don’t know Mich Rosario.

"Before this incident, I don’t know who she is. I don’t know what she looks like.

“So, no, I never called her yaya because I don’t even know who she is.

“Like I said, all those girls involved, I have no idea who they were except for one and her mother.”

She added, “What happened was something that shouldn’t happen.

“I’m not the type of person who'll get into a fight or an altercation, address everyone or even say foul language.

“My parents raised me right. I was the only aggrieved person.”

GWEN’S SWORN AFFIDAVIT. PEP obtained a copy of Gwen's sworn affidavit identifying the respondents to be Ma. Lourdes “Malou” Bien, Andrea Bien, Hillarie Brown, November Tan Carey, and Michelle Ann Aguas Rosario.

Andrea is the longtime girlfriend of TNT's Anthony Semerad, and Malou is her mother.

Gwen related in her complaint her encounter with Malou: “My peace was disturbed when Malou Bien approached me in a hostile and threatening manner and started shouting at me in vernacular, saying ‘Kilala mo ba ako? Ako ang nanay ni Andrea! Lubayan mo ang anak ko!’”

Gwen stated her response was to ask Andrea's mom "what her problem is" and "if her daughter has an issue with me, she should be the one to approach me and thresh it out with me like decent human beings.”

According to Gwen's affidavit, Andrea joined her mother and "started her senseless tirade by hurling invectives at me, telling me to ‘fuck off’ and calling me a bitch,’ while the security personnel of the venue tried to pacify her.”

In her sworn affidavit, Gwen also accused Andrea of involving other TNT WAGS in the fracas.

She said, “Hillarie Brown’s behavior worsened when she was threatening the people in the SMB area, myself included, and even said ‘don’t fucking touch her!’

“In the course of the commotion, one of the people who joined in on the fray was November Carey who threateningly yelled ‘remember my fucking face, bitch!’ directed to me

“Michelle Rosario also got involved by shouting at me, 'You’re such a bitch!'”

Because of the incident, Gwen alleged that there is “concerted effort” by Malou, Andrea, Hillarie, November, and Michelle “to intimidate, harass, humiliate, and malign” her.

PENDING PBA INVESTIGATION. In her interview with reporters, Gwen refused to comment when asked if she has spoken with Andrea as their boyfriends happen to be brothers.

She said, "I can’t comment on the girlfriend of Anthony.

“But David is supportive. He knows I didn’t do anything wrong. And he knows the truth.

“He’s very supportive of me pursuing legal action because he knows it’s the right thing to do.”

Has Anthony said anything?

Gwen remained evasive, “I can’t comment on Anthony and what he thinks of this, but David and Anthony are fine.”

Gwen also explained that it took three months for her to air her side of the story as she wanted to settle things first by raising the issue to the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).

Asked if she had filed a formal complaint before the PBA, Gwen said, “Yes. Me and other members of San Miguel who were aggrieved by the event reached out and we filed complaint letters.

“And after repeated complaints, they filed a formal investigation.

“But it’s been three months and still no result regarding that investigation.”

Is she willing to drop the legal complaint against the respondents should they apologize to her?

Gwen answered, “Drop all the cases against those ladies who apologized, but not the case against that one person and her mother because it’s not acceptable.”

At the end of the interview, Gwen expressed her wish to clear her name and settle the issue through the legal process.

“I just want what’s right. It’s only what’s right.

“There should be consequences to everyone’s action.

“And when you act in such a disgraceful manner, that’s not proper decorum. It’s not how you act in public.

“And the PBA should be a safe place where you can go and watch game with your family, friends and loved ones, and not worry for your safety.”
