Claudine, who was once among the prime stars of Star Magic, last attended the annual ball in 2009. She was then with estranged husband Raymart Santiago.

A few months later, the longtime ABS-CBN star transferred to the rival network, GMA-7.

Claudine seemed to have a great time attending the Star Magic Ball this year.

On her Instagram stories, she was shown reunited with Star Magic head Johnny Manahan or Mr. M., the man largely credited with making Claudine a star.

Claudine was also photographed with ABS-CBN Chief Content Officer Charo Santos-Concio and her former leading man, Piolo Pascual.

During the program, Claudine took part in a toast with ABS-CBN prime stars Piolo, Jericho Rosales, Bea Alonzo, Angelica Panganiban, Xian Lim and Martin Nievera, together with Star Cinema managing director Malou Santos.

Viva talent Claudine—who at one time was called ABS-CBN's Optimum Teleserye Queen—started her career in the early '90s through the youth-oriented show Ang TV.

During her stay at the Kapamilya network, she headlined some of the network's most memorable TV dramas, among them Mula sa Puso (1997), Saan Ka Man Naroroon (1999), and Sa Dulo ng Walang Hanggan (2001).

She also proved her acting prowess through movies produced by Star Cinema, the film arm of ABS-CBN: Mangarap Ka (1996), Madrasta (1996), Calvento Files: The Movie (1997), Anak (2000), Kailangan Kita (2002), and Milan (2004).

In a quick interview with reporters at Star Magic Ball 2017, Claudine was asked who among the young Kapamilya stars she would want to work with.

She mentioned her niece Julia Barretto, the daughter of Claudine's sister Marjorie and Dennis Padilla, and young star Arjo Atayde, former FPJ's Ang Probinsyano actor.
