Wala raw anumang ibang pakahulugan ang pag-imbita ni Martin Nievera kay Sharon Cuneta para maging date nito sa ginanap na Star Magic Ball noong Sabado, September 30.
“Actually, hindi kami nag-usap, may nagtanong sa akin about the invitation of making Sharon my date.
“I was sincere when I said “our date.” I mean, our date, Kapamilya,” sabi ni Martin sa PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) at iba pang reporters sa ginanap na press conference para sa Martin @ 35 concert niya kanina, October 4.
Sa palagay ni Martin, hindi dapat naging isyu ang invitation.
Aniya, “I think Sharon is in the point in her life that she doesn't need invitation.
“I don't need invitation. I never get one.
“I'm always the host of the Star Magic Ball.
“I'm so honored because I've never been a Star Magic artist.
“I think that the evening is really for Star Magic artists.
"E, kung wala ka talagang past with Star Magic and you're not a 'Megastar,' then you really need an invitation.
“But for the likes of a Megastar, no invitation needed.”
Sa isang social media post ni Sharon bago ng Star Magic Ball, sinabi nitong “hurt and insulted” siya sa last-minute invitation sa kanya ng talent arm ng ABS-CBN.
Gayunman, tinapos na rin agad ni Sharon ang isyu.
Aniya, “So though am hurt, ‘tampororot’ -- I love my Kapamilya.
“But my heart is wearing a band-aid on it now. End of issue.”
Samantala, umaaasa rin si Martin na wala nang anumang isyu sa pagitan ni Sharon at ng Star Magic ngayong tapos na ang pagtitipon.
“I love her. I hope everything is okay. Everything we read, [I hope] we didn't over-read or put a tone on it.
“Kasi, hindi naman natin alam kung anong tone.
“We have no idea if she's being funny, she's being naughty, we don't know,” ani Martin.
Diin pa niya sa huli, “All I know, I love the Megastar, she's one my dearest friends.
“And I'm proud and in love with being a Kapamilya.”
