Bailey May has high hopes of becoming part of Simon Fuller's new pop music group called Now United.
However, the 15-year-old Kapamilya star has been tight-lipped about the status of his stint with the band.
He said it's better to wait for the official announcement in November.
It would be a dream come true for the former Pinoy Big Brother teen housemate if it happens.
But his budding career in showbiz here may be put on hold.
“If I get approved by Now United, I'll fly to Los Angeles and I'll be based in Hollywood.
“My personal dream is to be international, so I'm gonna get my whole time into it,” said Bailey.
On the September 17 episode of ASAP, it was announced that Bailey has been invited to join the 11-member group.
His fellow young Kapamilya star Jane de Leon also mentioned in a previous interview that Bailey was already chosen.
“Ang nakuha po si Bailey kasi they need guys po,” said Jane at the press conference of her movie The Debutantes.
Jane and Bailey were among the four Filipino young stars who attended the Now United boot camp in Lost Angeles.
They were joined by Bailey's constant onscreen partner, Ylona Garcia, and AC Bonifacio, who failed to make the cut.
PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other reporters interviewed Bailey before the press launch of Jollibee Hotdog's new “Top Your Own” campaign last Tuesday, October 17.
He was later joined by Ylona for a question-and-answer session.
NO MORE BAILONA? What was Ylona's reaction when she learned Bailey was not eliminated from the boot camp?
He replied, “I saw a few interviews of her and someone asked the question.
"She just said that she's proud of me and stuff, I think she's happy for me.”
What will happen to BaiLona loveteam?
Bailey said, “If I do get the part in Now United, I will still be able to come back to the Philippines.
"For projects, endorsements, shows, and stuff,” adding, “She can have a big career by herself.”
Ylona is set to have a solo concert, Arrival, at the Music Museum on Saturday, October 21.
Bailey said, "It's her dream to perform in a concert. I'm incredibly happy for her."
