Beauty queens Pia Wurtzbach and Megan Young are happy with the recent victories of the Philippines in the international pageant scene.
Over the past weekend, two Filipinas were crowned as beauty queens in the respective pageants they joined.
Yesterday, November 4, Karen Ibasco was hailed as Miss Earth 2017 during its coronation night at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
Meanwhile, just earlier today, November 5 (Manila time), Teresita Ssen "Winwyn" Marquez was crowned Reina Hispanoamericana 2017.
Winwyn made history as the first Filipina and Asian to win the crown.
The pageant was held in Santa Cruz, Bolivia (November 4, Bolivia time).
Pia, who won the Miss Universe title in 2015, is proud that Philippines managed to bring home the crown in two consecutive days.
She wrote, "Everyday may crown ang Philippines! Congratulations!!"

Meanwhile, Megan, who was crowned Miss World 2013, said that Filipinas winning beauty pageants makes her "heart happy."
She said, "Waking up to the Philippines winning a crown always makes my heart happy. Congratulations ladies!"

Aside from Winwyn and Karen, Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2017 Nelda Ibe also won first runner-up in the recently-concluded Miss Globe 2017 held last Friday night, November 3 (Saturday morning, November 4, Philippine time) in Tirana, Albania.
