VOLLEYBALL star Denden Lazaro took to Twitter to air her thoughts on Sunday after a video of the popular libero avoiding a male fan's attempt to put an arm around her during a photo op sparked a debate on social media.

The former Ateneo star was among the most popular members of the Philippine Super Liga delegation that went to Bacolod over the weekend to play games at the University of St. La Salle Gym.

While Lazaro and Cocolife pulled off a big comeback against Cignal on Saturday night, it was the video of Lazaro and the male fan that stirred up a storm on social media.

Take a look at the video of the incident that took place at the lobby of L'Fisher Hotel in Bacolod on Friday and shared by a user on Facebook:

At posting time, the video has been viewed over two million times and shared almost 25,000 times on Facebook while stirring widespread debate over Lazaro's actions.

The former Ateneo Lady Eagles standout came under fire from critics who accused her of being a 'snob,' but at the same time found a lot of supporters on Twitter.

On Sunday, Lazaro came out and bravely took a stand with a series of tweets.

Even if she made no mention of the video or of the debate on the micro-blogging site, Lazaro confirmed to SPIN.ph that her tweets pertained to the Bacolod incident.

"There are certain situations that make a person feel uncomfortable like when random people invade someone's private space," she posted on her official @denniselazaro page on Twitter.
